Homage and receiving Civil Cross 1st Class & honorary sign Officer in the Order of Leopold II31/5/2019 Singer Francoise Vanhecke is honored in Kortrijk. The soprano taught for years at the conservatory in Kortrijk and earned her doctorate in the arts for 2 years with her self-developed singing technique. Françoise Vanhecke is internationally famous: she has already won several international prizes, including the New York Women Composers Grant in 2003, and a Palmo d’oro in Italy. Now she is receiving the Civic Cross 1st class in Kortrijk for 35 years of service and the title of Officer in the Order of Leopold II. "A great honor," says Francoise Vanhecke. Watch te video here.
