February 4th., 2024: "A Journey Into the Universe": performance with Françoise Vanhecke & Pascal Coppé. Co-composed vocals and vocal arrangements by Irma Bilbao. Sunday, February 4th., 2024, church of Sint-Bavo (Sint-Bavostraat, 8710 Wielsbeke). Coffee Concert in collaboration with CC De Schakel in Waregem. More information: CC De Schakel. A dazzling cosmic adventure by Patsker Omaer Beguin: We were swept away in a wave of symphonic soundscapes accompanied by mesmerizing images of the planets of our solar systems. Vanhecke supplemented Coppé's electronic ambient spins with both experimental and beautiful, emotional vocal lines. Vanhecke passionately demonstrated her unique inhaling singing technique, culminating in 'TheBlack Hole'. The soprano moaned, screamed and growled just like a black metal vocalist. Her haunting vocals captivated the audience during the hypnotic projections of the black hole. We almost never write this, but 'A Journey Into The Universe' came close to perfection. The sound, the images, the singing, the performance were taken care of down to the last detail. Those who weren't there were, of course, wrong. More information: Gonzo Circus. Sunday November 26th., 2023: Tribute “Alice Toen” in KVS Brussels at 3:00 PM. With: Alice Toen, Françoise Vanhecke & Jean Van der Schueren. The icing on the cake this autumn, a well-deserved tribute to Dame Alice Toen in the Royal Flemish Theater in Brussels on November 26th. Born theater maker and actress since 1924 and the ultimate embodiment of the fact that there is no age limit for passion. A credo to cherish, says Françoise: Passion knows no age. Moreover, the stage can keep people young. Alice still bursts with energy when she can perform. I look forward to accompanying her again with Jean on this well-deserved tribute in her beloved KVS. For information and tickets: KVS Thursday, November 16th., 2023: SOLISSIMA in Kortrijk Music Center at 20:15 PM.
